Fantasy Farms to Start an IEA TEAM!!!!

CALL TO MAKE APPOINTMENT FOR YOUR TRYOUT NOW!!!!!!

September 2009 will start tryouts of a new IEA Team in Jupiter Farms.

An IEA team consists of riders who will attend practice sessions at the farm one or two times a week in order to participate in IEA Shows in the area.

The difference is that riders practice on a variety of different horses at home, rather than the same horse.  They learn to figure out different horses quickly in order to ride them successfully.

When riders attend away shows,  they draw a horses name at random, and that is the horse they will have to compete on.   Usually with little or no practice time. When shows are hosted at their "home" facility, they will also choose horses at random to compete on, but they will be a selection of horses they are more familiar with.  This creates a level playing field for all riders involved.

To tryout & participate riders must be in grades 6-12 and AT THE MINIMUM be able to successfully demonstrate a controlled walk, trot & canter in the ring, in a group, on unfamiliar horses. Riders who can jump and wish to show over fences, must demonstrate their ability.  Since we compete on unfamiliar horses, all riders show one level below their home schooling level.

Competitions range from flat classes to jump courses of up to 3'.

The IEA offers riders the opportunity to earn college scholarships, and gives them a sense of what the college level teams are like.

The costs are minimal.  $45 per year membership.  $20 per training session (team members are required to attend a minimum of 5 training sessions a month), and affordable show fees (riders are required to attend at least three shows a season).

Riders at competitions not only score points for themselves indvidually, but also as a team.

There are Regional and National shows for the teams who have scored the hightest points throughout the season.

If you are interested in trying out, you DO NOT NEED YOUR OWN HORSE OR TACK!!!

Feel free to give us a call for more inforamtion.  561-743-8392
